After an introduction to the itinerary of the trip, we hop on the motorbikes and ride to Thac Ba Lake, one of Vietnam's largest man-made lakes. The scenery is stunning, and we have the chance to explore several of the lake's caverns and swim in its calm waters. We'll then make our way to Vu Linh village, where we'll spend the night in a local homestay with the Dao ethnic group.
Today, we ride through the countryside, passing by rice paddies and majestic mountains. Our destination is Sapa, a charming town known for its vibrant ethnic communities and mountainous scenery. Along the way, we stop at Ba waterfall and enjoy a leisurely hike around the falls.
Today is all about exploring the town of Sapa, a melting pot of ethnic groups and cultures. We start our day by visiting the bustling local market, where vendors from different tribes come to sell their goods. Afterward, we'll take a short ride to Silver Waterfall, then visit the Cat Cat and Ta Phin Villages, where Hmong and Red Dao people reside. In the evening, we get back to our homestay, where we'll feast on the traditional Sapa hotpot.
A day of twists and turns awaits us as we ride over the O Quy Ho pass, which offers breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys below. We stop to take in the panoramic views before continuing our journey to Than Uyen, where we'll try the local specialty, Bong fish, for dinner.
Departing from Than Uyen, we make our way to Mu Cang Chai, a stunning area with rice terraces cascading down the valleys. Here, we visit some remote villages and learn about the lifestyle of the local Hmong people. After lunch, we ride on toward Phu Yen, where we'll spend the night.
Today, we get on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which takes us through some of Vietnam's most stunning scenery, including lush forests and rolling hills. We stop for lunch in Moc Chau, a town famous for its tea plantations, before continuing to Mai Chau. We'll spend the night in a traditional stilt house, where we'll have the chance to interact with the local Thai community.
One of the longest rides of our trip awaits us today. We ride through picturesque landscapes, including bamboo groves, mountains, and forests, before reaching Tan Ky, where the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail begins. This part of our journey helps us understand the importance of the trial during the war and how it contributed to Vietnamese independence.
We continue on the Ho Chi Minh Trail and reach Phong Nha, a stunning natural wonder with caves and rock formations that have been turning heads for centuries. We'll take a guided tour of the largest cave in Vietnam, before relaxing and exploring the area.
