Your destination is a village inhabited by the friendly Dzao ethnic minority, who will give you a warm welcome.
On Day 2, the fun continues with an off-road motorbike tour through tribal villages. Day 4 is all about the thrill of off-road motorbike tours through hill tribe villages as you make your way to Cao Bang City. Riding through Ba Be National Park and crossing several mountain passes, you'll be captivated by the stunning natural scenery and the sight of apiaries, Vietnam's most famous honey-producing areas.
Finally, on Day 5, ride up to Ma Phuc Passintoin to Ban Gioc-Detian Falls, one of the most well-known waterfalls in Vietnam. The falls mark the border with China, but they see very few visitors, so you'll have plenty of time to marvel at their beauty. At 53 meters in vertical drop and 300 meters in span, they are truly awe-inspiring. End the day with a homestay in Quang Uyen, Cao Bang, and reflect on the memories of a lifetime.
On Day 6, you embark on the next leg of your motorbike tour along the historic Highway 4 from Quang Uyen to Lang Son City, covering a distance of 140 kilometers or 87 miles. As you ride, you'll pass through Dong Khe town, known for the "Battle of Route Coloniale 4" during the First Indochina War. This battle lasted from September 15 to September 18, 1950, and resulted in a victory for the Viet Minh over the French.
You'll arrive in Lang Son City around noon and enjoy a late lunch before exploring the city. Lang Son is a trading post between China and Vietnam. Don't forget to check out the Dong Kinh market, where you can find affordable Chinese products.
On Day 7, you'll have an easy ride back to Hanoi, covering a distance of 160 kilometers or 100 miles on the new Highway 1B. Since you might be tired after the previous long days of riding, you can sleep in and go shopping in the morning at the Dong Kinh market. The team will advise you to arrive in Hanoi at around 3:00 PM before the busy time of Ha Noi.
